2 month check up
11 lbs 5 oz
21 1/2 inches long
We've been on Previcid for a few weeks now and it seems to be working. I missed two doses in a row a few days ago and it was not a pretty sight...so it looks like previcid is the solution to our problems. I'm still experimenting with bottles to get the best fit but overall Mason is a much happier baby.
His check up went great.
He's a strong little man. He smiles lots now and every once in a while gets a yelp out and I think he scares himself. I'm sure he'll figure out how to use his voice soon...then the real challenge is finding time to talk with such a chatty big sister.

Happy New Year!

I know it's been a while since we've updated the blog. We've been a bit overwhelmed here with the holidays and baby Mason. Mason has some digestive issues. He spits up constantly and appears to be in a bit of pain after he eats. He was on Zantac which we thought was working for a while, but then things got worse. He just started Previcid yesterday and the first three bottles were great, but the forth one he just spit up almost the entire thing...so we'll see. We've also tried several different formulas and nothing has helped yet. I think he likes to have his clothes changes several times a day...and spend lots of time in the laundry room. Dispite all these challanges he is still gaining weight. I'm estimating he is just over 10 pounds. He has finally moved into 0-3 month clothing. It was sad to pack up the newborn things, but now we have so many fun things to wear. I, ofcourse, tortured him over the holiday season with Christmas outfits, and even have a New Year's onsie for today!
Madalyn is full of energy. She was amazed by the holiday season. Decorating the Christmas tree was the most fun. With every ornament she unwrapped she gasped and described how beautiful it was. On Christmas morning she was slow to unwrap presents (as she is not a morning person) but once we got to MiMi's house she was tearing paper off of presents at warp speed! This was the year of baby dolls. Santa brought her the Potty Doll - the toy she most wanted. And she received several other dolls that cry, suck on binkies, and have a change of clothes - we have many needy toys in our house at the moment - Just what mommy needed!! Madalyn was spoiled with lots of amazing gifts during the holiday season but it seems that her favorite thing to play with at the moment is a box of hand-me-down Barbie's and Fairies from her cousin Kelsey. Go figure.
Matt and I are doing well also. I'm still trying to get life on a schedule. I'm hoping that once preschool starts and the holiday season is over I'll be better. Matt is having fun working back at Station 6. We are both a little sleep deprived. This is the first year I did not see the ball fall on New Year's Eve...although I tried. At 11:00 p.m. we started watching a movie with the intention to switch to the ball falling, and I woke up at 12:06 realizing I had fallen asleep and missed the ball.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!
